VWP Digital Ltd, trading as FirstFame ("FirstFame", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use firstfame.org or our services, why we collect it and the choices you have. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you fill in our contact or audit form, subscribe to our newsletter or become a client, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if provided), business name, public social media handles and any details you choose to share about your goals.
Client account information. For clients, we also process billing details (handled by our payment processor; we never store full card numbers), analytics data you share with us (such as screenshots or exports from platform insights) and communications with your strategist.
Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we collect limited technical data such as browser type, device type, pages visited and approximate location derived from IP address, using privacy-friendly analytics.
We use official platform partner tools where account access is needed. You remain in full control and can revoke access at any time.
2. How we use your information
- To respond to enquiries and arrange your free audit call.
- To provide, manage and improve our services, including reporting on your account's performance.
- To process payments and manage your subscription.
- To send our newsletter, if you've subscribed (you can unsubscribe at any time).
- To comply with legal obligations and protect our legal rights.
3. Legal bases for processing
Where UK or EU data protection law applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (to deliver services you've signed up for); legitimate interests (to respond to enquiries and improve our website); consent (for our newsletter and non-essential cookies); and legal obligation (for tax and accounting records).
4. Sharing your information
We don't sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run our business, such as our payment processor, email provider, scheduling tool and cloud hosting, under contracts that require them to protect it. We may also share data if required by law.
5. International transfers
We are based in the United Kingdom. Some of our service providers (for example email and hosting) may process data outside the UK. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK or EEA, we use appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep data
We keep enquiry data for up to 24 months unless you become a client. Client records are kept for the duration of our relationship and up to six years afterwards for legal and accounting purposes. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to processing, to data portability and to withdraw consent. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do neither). To exercise any right, email hello@firstfame.org. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority, such as the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
8. Cookies
We use a small number of essential cookies to make the website work and, only with your consent, analytics cookies to understand how visitors use it. You can change your cookie preferences at any time through your browser settings.
9. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls and regular reviews to protect your data. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the risk.
10. Children
Our services are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the new version here and, for material changes, notify clients by email.
